CHAPTER ONE
The man stumbled into the office, collar undone, tie askew, jaw trembling. He looked like a heart attack. "There's something wrong with the new tests," the said in between breathes, "I just failed." Hearing this Shaun stiffened in his chair. "The tests don't make such mistakes," he told his co-worker, who was now developing stains in his armpits.
Shaun tried to reach for the pistol on his desk inconspicuously, but the man expected it. "All these years I've worked here, you can't honestly believe I'm a replicant!" he cried, getting to his feet, and then stiffening when Shaun leveled the weapon. "It's happened before," Shaun said
